Sesame Oil is extracted from the Sesamum indicum - a one-year-old herbaceous plant. The country of Sesame is Africa and is mainly grown in North Africa, India, China, Brazil and Pakistan. The plant reaches a height between 50 and 100 cm, blooming in white and purple flowers, and the seeds are contained in the fruit and can reach up to 70-80 seeds in a pod. The seeds of Sesame contain 53-63% oil, 21% protein and 21% carbohydrates. Sesame Oil is light, almost odorless, spreads easily and does not grease.
